Shir Yeffet

Shir Yeffet is a visual artist and an educator based in the Bay Area. As a working artist, she has shown internationally in a variety of group and solo exhibitions. Her artwork focuses on how nature is interwoven into city life and explores shifting meanings of the natural world in our current times. Hailing from Tel Aviv, Shir brings a fresh perspective as a newcomer to the US. 

Shir holds a B.Ed.F.A a joint bachelor’s degree in education and arts (2013) and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Tel Aviv University (2021). Shir teaches mixed media art classes in a studio atmosphere, drawing inspiration from contemporary art practices such as collage, printmaking, drawing, painting, and sculpture. Placing young artists at the center, her classes encourage creative thinking, openness, and independence.
