Bree Prince

Classes

Bree Prince grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her first art loves are ceramics & photography. She has been photographing the light and vibrancy of nature as well as creating with clay since middle school, first throwing on the potter’s wheel, then branching into hand-building. Bree has always loved feeling the texture of clay & losing track of time in the studio.

When you create art, it encourages you to focus on the moment and let your mind wander all at the same time. It reminds you to see inspiration in your everyday life. The more you are open to inspiration, the more you find it. Bree is grateful to be able to give students the chance to see the world through their own artistic lens, to be completely present in their project and have a platform to express themselves.

Bree has loved teaching art for her children's elementary school for the past nine years through Art in Action and running the clay portion of that program for 5 years. She created and has also been running a summer outdoor children’s clay program for the past 9 years.

As a parent, she developed a deep appreciation for how much children can teach us. Their excitement, creativity and open minded attitudes remind us to be present and strive to be our best selves.

She experiments with different mediums including clay, acrylics, watercolors & textiles. Bree finds inspiration by exploring a forest path, biking along the reservoir, practicing yoga & dancing. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
